Rosaries

St. Teresa of Lisieux

St. Theresa of The Child Jesus lived in France in the mid 1800s. She showed a great, but hidden, love for Our Lord, so that when she died at the young age of 24, the Carmelite nuns in her community felt sorry for the Mother superior, that she would have a difficult time finding much to say about her. Little did they know, she wrote a book with her“Little Way”of loving Our Lord. She is now famous throughout the world as the saint who sends a shower of roses on those who invoke her aid!

This rosary was made using 8mm Rose Quartz beads for the Ave's and Carmelite brown Tiger Eye beads for the Pater's. Strung on nylon-coated stainless cable and double crimped for extra security.

St. Gemma Galgani First Holy Communion Rosary

St Gemma Galgani had a strong desire at an early age to receive Jesus in The Blessed Sacrament. Here is an exerpt fron her book...
"I started to school at the Nun's school and it was heaven for me. I immediately expressed my desire to make my first Communion but they found me so bad and so ignorant that they discouraged me from it. They began, however, to instruct me and to give me much good advice. But I only became worse. Nevertheless, my only desire was to make my first Communion soon and they, knowing how strong was my desire, granted my request before long. - See more at: http://www.stgemmagalgani.com/2009/12/patron-saint-for-children-first.html#sthash.46oRmtwv.dpuf

This Rosary is made with 6mm Mother of Pearl Ave's and the Pater's are blue Sodalite hearts, for Gemma's devotion to The Sacred heart, and the blue of her eyes. It is good size for small hands and will survive the activity that little people put their rosaries through.

At your request the seas obey,
And lifeless limbs grow strong and new.
As things long lost are found again,

St. Jerome

St. Jerome is best known for his extraordinary education which enabled him to translate the old testament books of The Bible from the original Hebrew and Greek, into Latin. A wonderful story is also told of him befriending a lion. Fisheaters has a well written retelling of it here. Another thing that he is known for though, is that he would always keep death before his eyes with the help of the skull that he kept on his desk. Remembering the faithful departed as well as his last end by the presence of that skull helped him to carry his cross and fulfill his duties cheerfully and well.

This rosary is wire wrapped and will last for generations. The skull is made of Howlite and the aves are 8mm picture Jasper. The paters are Tiger Eye gemstone, for the eyes sadness that the saint beheld in the big cat's eyes. Solid bronze medals complete this virtually unbreakable rosary with a vintage touch. Also available in Sturdy strung style.
